| Özet |
| This study examines the roles that religion plays in the migration process by reviewing existing literature on interaction between religion and migration. This paper discusses the migration process in three stages as departure, journey and settlement. The study employs functional and living religious approaches as theoretical frames. With functional approach, the roles of religion, religious institutions and faith-based organizations for immigrants will be investigated. With the lived religion approach, roles of religious resources for migrants, such as religious practices, rituals, information, activities and identities that are outside of official and prescribed religion will be investigated. Methodologically, the study presents and discusses on results ethnographic researches. This literature review highlights the following results.
