| Özet |
| Altered hip kinematics due to muscle weakness in the hip can cause dynamic instability of the entire kinetic chain of the lower extremities. While this situation negatively affects tennis-specific performance, on the other hand, it may increase the injury tendency of the athletes during repetitive activities performed in practice. In this study, it was aimed to determine the agility, vertical jump, flexibility, and isokinetic hip strength of elite tennis players and to determine the motor characteristics associated with isokinetic hip strength. The study was conducted with the voluntary participation of 15 male elite tennis players aged 16-20. After determining the height, body weight and body mass index characteristics of the athletes, isokinetic hip strength, T agility test performances, sit-reach flexibility test levels and vertical jump performances were examined. In the next step, the relationship between isokinetic hip strength and jump, agility, and flexibility performances at angular velocities of 60o/sec, 180o/sec and 240o/sec were examined. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between the isokinetic hip peak torque levels of the athletes and their flexibility and jumping performances, but the relationship between their agility performances was not significant. As a result, hamstring-waist group flexibility and jump performance are motoric parameters that support their hip strength in elite tennis players. |
