Özet
This paper investigates how moral development occurs in children. It describes theoretical concepts of moral development³from past to present, espe cially contemporary thoughts on moral development, from preschool to post compulsory education. The paper also examines both deterministic and non deterministic current global moral situations or dilemmas such as moral judg ments, ethics and cultures, that necessitate new ideas on the moral development of children. Finally, the paper suggests a new approach, based on group interac tion, for children· s moral development.. eywords Moral development, Moral education, Children, Ethics, Cultural prac tices
