Özet
The aim of this work is to conduct a health risk assessment of some heavy metals attributed to consumption of Alosa immaculate in the southern Black Sea coasts available for consumers. Fish samples were captured during fishing seasons of 2015. Amounts of Zn, Cu, Pb, Hg and Cd were determined in muscles, livers and entire gills of A. immaculata from five locations (Şile, Sinop, Samsun, Ordu, and Trabzon) of the Black Sea. The concentration ranges of Zn, Cu, Pb, Hg and Cd in edible tissues were 2.22-4.12, 0.73-2.10, 0.16-0.29, 0.03-0.09 and 0.021-0.045 mg/kg wet wt., respectively. The results showed that heavy metal amounts in the edible tissues of A. immaculata were lower than the permissible limits set by law.
