| This study aimed to evaluate the opinions and experiences of older adults about ageism in Turkey. It is a mixed method research carried out in two stages by using explanatory sequential design. In the quantitative stage, data were collected from 177 older adults with probability cluster sampling method and from 20 older adults with purposeful intensity sampling method in the qualitative stage in Sinop province having the highest rate of older adult population of Turkey. Data were collected by face-to-face interviews using the personal information form and Fraboni Scale of Ageism (FSA) in the first stage and through in-depth interviews using a semi-structured interview form in second stage in 2018–2019.
