| Özet |
| Free-living marine nematode communities of Sinop Bay was seasonally investigated as a part of a comprehensive meiobenthos survey of Sinop Bay. Samplings were carrried out as three replicates by using tubular, metal sediment corers at 8 stations with depths of 3 and 10 meters. Free-living marine nematodes were found to be represented by six orders, 27 families and 131 species in the area. The nematode abundance was determined to reach its highest level with 1.100. 175 ind/m2 in April. The highest species diversity was observed in October (74 species). When the stations were taken into consideration, nematodes were found to be abundant at St. A1, St. B1 and St. C1 mainly due to the sediment characteristic of coarse sand whereas seasonal fluctuations seem to follow reproduction periods. |
