Özet
Background: Migraine is a common neurological disorder and its mechanism haven’t been understood. It has been promised that; neurogenic inflammation, cortical spreading depression, central sensitization and vascular involvement causes pain during migraine attacks. Various neuropeptides, cytokines and chemokines have been shown to mediate nociceptive effects. Brain derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) is a neurotrophin that has been implicated in the modulation of pain signaling. It is expressed in trigeminal ganglion neurons. On the other hand sirtuin 1 (SIRT1) is a member of the hystone deacetylase family proteins and a key regulator of DNA damage, cell survival, metabolism, synaptic plasticity, memory formation, autophagy and neurodegeneration. It modulates BDNF expression and could contribute to pain. Objective: Our objective is to examine the serum levels of this molecules in migraine patients …
