Özet
Nowadays, the increasing population and developments in technology have become obligatory the load forecasting in energy market. Load forecasting is an indispensable part of the power system planning. Artificial intelligence approaches as well as traditional approaches are used in load forecasting studies. In this study, medium term load forecasting for Sinop city is proposed with hybrid regression-artificial neural network based on genetic algorithm method. The obtained results from the regression analysis, the artificial neural network and the hybrid regression-artificial neural network based on genetic algorithm methods are compared to the real load data for Sinop city. In this way, the best approach is investigated for medium term load forecasting.
