| Özet |
| The purpose of this study is to investigate the psychological toughness of elite female boxers in different categories. A total of 51 athletes participated in this study, including 15 athletes from the National Team, 17 from the Young National Team and 19 from U17 National Team. The data have been collected via Mental Toughness Scale developed by Friborg et. al. in 2005. As a result of the analysis made, it has been found out that boxers in the category of National Team have higher scores than the ones in the other two groups both in the sub- dimensions of “structural style” and “social resources” (p<0.05). Besides, in the dimension of “future perception,” a significant difference has been found among boxers in U17 National Team (p<0.05). As a result, that boxers in the National Team have participated a higher number of competitions might have an impact on their getting higher psychological toughness scores. |
