| Özet |
| The textbooks are important sources for a researcher in acquiring information about the nature of learning and expectations regarding the outconıe of leaming. The aim of this study was to assess the strategies of graduate students in analyzing a mathematical concept in math textbooks and define the problems and difficulties they faced. The reports prepared by eight students from Secondary Mathernatics Education department at the Atanırk Faculty of Education in the Marmara University were used to obtairı data. These reports corısisıed of graduate students' analysis of a concept chosen in secondary math curriculum. Data were analyzed and interprered by the means of qualitative analysis. The results indicated that the students had considerable difficulries in choosing the variables of analysis and explaining the reasons for their choices. |
