Özet
The aim of the study was to investigate the Quality of life of University students in terms of exercise status. The total 2923 of 10646 students (1648 female, 1275 male) were participated to study from different Faculties and Vocational Schools in Sinop University. Sample number was determined with randomly and survey forms were applied in spring semester of 2017-2018. Quality of Life Scale (WHOQOL-BREF) were used to collect data. Independent samples t-test was used to analyses in SPSS 21.0 V Statistical Package program and p< 0, 05 level of statistical significance. It was determined that 24, 3%(711) of students exercise regularly and 75, 7%(2212) of them don’t any exercise regularly. Quality of Life Scale and in sub-dimensions has shown statistically significant difference in participants who exercise regularly (p< 0, 05). As one of the sub-dimension of quality of life in respect to gender variable,‘mental’has shown statistical significance in males (p< 0, 05). In conclusion, quality of life of the students exercise regularly was found higher. Moreover, informing them about the importance of regular exercise with basic instructions will have a pivotal role in improving the quality of life.
