| Özet |
| Because energy sources are both one of the main inputs for every kind of production activity and facilitating elements of life for consumers, intensive studies are carried out on energy markets. Energy supply security meant cheap, continuous and sufficient energy supply in any condition is one of the privileged goals of energy policies of countries. The purpose of this paper is to make an assessment of Turkey, which is in the European Union membership process, with respect to energy supply security. In this context, when energy supply security is measured with regards to diversity of suppliers and resources, in papers written previously in world Shannon-Wiener Index which emphasizes effects of lower shares and Herfindahl-Hirschman Index which emphasizes effects of greater shares have been used.
