| This research was carried out to determine the current situation and problem areas in terms of improving cow milk production and marketing opportunities in Villages in Muş Plain. The material of the study consisted of 138 cattle farms in 28 villages of the central district of Muş. Due to the fact that there is no current and accurate information about the presence of cattle in the farms, random sampling has been carried out, including an equal number of farms from each village in order to identify the dairy farms. Shares of farm size groups, 1-9 heads, (%21.0), 10-29 heads (%42.8) and 30 heads and above (%36.2). Average daily milk yield per cow for the same farm size groups, respectively; 6.72±0.90 l., 6.83±0.53 l. and 7.48±0.60 l calculated.
