| In this study, single-layered and two-layered polylactic acid (PLA) composites reinforced with H3BO3 and ZrB2 were fabricated and their neutron–gamma radiation interaction properties were systematically investigated. Photon interaction parameters were determined using the WinXCOM database and Monte Carlo simulations performed with GEANT4 and FLUKA over the energy range of 0.0595–1.3325 MeV. Neutron interactions were analyzed at thermal (0.025 eV), epithermal (100 eV), and fast (4.5 MeV) neutron energies using GEANT4, while fast neutron removal cross sections were calculated via Phy-X/PSD. Secondary gamma-ray and neutron production, total ionizing dose and displacement per atom were further evaluated to assess radiation effects within the materials.
