Özet
This research was carried out in 2022 and 2023 to determine the grass yield and grazing capacity of the Habilli wetland, located west of the Kızılırmak Delta and south of Karaboğaz Lake. According to the results of the two-year study, the total dry grass yield of the grazing area was found to be 15.73 t/ha over the 180-day grazing period. The botanical composition by weight was found to be 71.65% grasses, 21.30% legumes and 7.06% forbs. The grazing area quality grade was found to be 6.62, indicating good condition. The water buffalo were the predominant grazing species in the wetland. The grazing capacity was calculated based on water buffalo and found to be 767.56 ACU. It was determined that an area of approximately 0.162 hectares was needed for one water buffalo during the grazing season in the wetland.
