| Özet |
| Objective In the present study, we investigated the myxosporean parasite fauna of several fish species inhabiting Sinop coasts of the Black for the first time. Methods Fish were collected by angling in Sinop coasts of the Black Sea in the period from March to July 2014. Round goby Neogobius melanostomus (Pallas, 1814), common sole Solea solea (Linneaus, 1758), rusty blenny Parablennius sanguinolentus (Pallas, 1814), tentackled blenny Parablennius tentacularis (Brünnich, 1768) and peacock blenny Salaria pavo (Risso, 1810) were investigated for myxosporean parasites at the Faculty of Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences in Sinop using conventional methods. Gills, urinary bladder, kidney, gall bladder, intestine and gonads were examined for myxosporeans using a light microscope at x400 magnification. Parasite species was identified using a phase contrast Olympus microscope (BX53) equipped with a digital camera (DP50) and drawing attachment. Results and Discussion Ortholinea gobiusi Naidenova, 1968 from round goby, Sinuolinea rebae Tripathi, 1948 from common sole, Sphaeromyxa sevastopoli Naidenova, 1970, Myxobolus asymmetricus (Parisi, 1912) and Ortholinea divergens (Thelohan, 1895) from rusty blenny and Myxidium parvum Yurakhno, 1991 from peacock blenny and tentackled blenny were identified. All morphometric data are presented in tables and both species were illustrated in figures. This data is the first in Turkish Black Sea coasts and all parasite species are new records for Turkish parasite fauna. Thus we can conclude that more studies are needed to reveal myxosporean parasite fauna of marine fishes … |
