Özet
Materials and MethodsThe experiment was carried out in two sea lochs; Loch Etive (LE) and LK Loch Kishorn (LK) on the west coast of Scotland (Fig. 1). Investigations on mussel condition index, biochemical composition and environmental factors were conducted from May 1993 to August 1994. On each sampling date, salinity and temperature were measured with Salinity Temperature Bridge (M. C5) at 2 m and 6 m depth. One litre water samples were taken in duplicate using a Nansen type sampling bottle for chlorophyll-a (Ch-a), Particulate Organic Matter (POM), percentage of POM (POM%), seston determination and particle count at these two depths. All samples were passed through a 150 um nylon mesh
