| In 2017, Gerze district of Sinop province was included in the" Slow City" network. Gerze, the newest slow city in Turkey, is important in terms of sustainable tourism as a district protecting traditional cultures (local cuisine, traditional handicrafts, village markets, etc.). The aim of this study was to determine the opinions of local business managers regarding the presentation and use of slow city movements based on sustainability and responsible tourism principles. Within the scope of the study, interviews were held with 25 people between April 10th and May 1st, 2017 in the city of Gerze. In the scope of the research, it was determined that the participants had the same idea that the town of Gerze would be recognized more and more with the title of" Slow City", the tourism season could be extended. |
