Özet
Anxiety about social appearance is defined as concerns about one's own concerns about the physical appearance of another person and the evaluation of other individuals by him/her. In other words, it can be defined as living anxiety based on negative body sense. The aim of the research is to examine the social appearance concerns of the individuals who sport in different branches and to determine the differences between them. The "Social Appearance Anxiety Scale" consisting of a 16-item, one-dimensional factor developed by Hart et al. (2008) was used as data collection tool in the study. The research group comprises a total of 350 athletes consisting of 72 football players, 64 handball players, 82 bodybuilders, 58 volleyball players and 74 basketball players, while the researcher's universe is active in sports branches (football, basketball, body development, volleyball and handball) in Kastamonu …
