Özet
Trace elements are present in micromolar and halfmicromolar concentrations in the Black Sea1, 2, 3, 4, 5. Iron and manganese levels are higher in the Black Sea compared to other seas, and their distribution is related to the biogeochemical dynamics of oxygen, sulphur, metal and organic particles6. It has been reported that the trace metals, namely, Cd (Cadmium), Co (Cobalt), Cu (Copper) and Ni (Nickel) have increased in the Black Sea7. Phosphate levels decline in fresh water and certain regions of the seas rich in Fe, due to the adsorption of ferric oxyhydroxides and the subsequent sinking of FeOOH≡ RP particulates to the bottom. A minimum of two iron atoms are needed to precipitate one phosphate molecule (FeOOH≡ P). In many freshwater lakes, the iron-phosphate ratio is greater than 2 (Fe: P> 2), which allows complete removal of phosphorus8. Various studies have reported phosphorus-limited …
