Özet
This study gives the pollen morphologies of such tree species in Turkey as Salix babylonica L., Populus thevestina Dode (Salicaceae), Acer negando L., and Acer platanoides L.(Aceraceae) as examined by using Light microscope (LM). Salix babylonica pollen is tricolpate, prolate-spheroidal, and ornamentation is reticulate, Populus thevestina pollen is inaperturate, spheroidal, and ornamentation is granulate. Acer platanaoides and Acer negundo pollens are tricolpate, subprolate, suboblate and spheroidal, and their ornamentation is striate. The total protein assessment regarding each species was conducted by Lowry method. It was determined that the total amounts of protein are much more in Acer platanoides (46.53%) and Salix babylonica (37.08%) than in Populus thevestina (10.47%) and Acer negundo (24.27%).
